About this deal

Back in the 1970s this must have been very wearable by a female as women´s perfumes were also much stronger than contemporary stuff. This review is for the current formulation of Aramis 900 which, to my nose, is a powerful blend of herbal, mossy, soapy and floral notes.

A900’s basenotes, which definitely include a healthy dose of patchouli (as in AE) are modulated by vetiver. Top notes are Coriander, Green Notes, Brazilian Rosewood, Bergamot and Lemon; middle notes are Rose, Carnation, Geranium, Lily-of-the-Valley, Jasmine and Orris Root; base notes are Oakmoss, Civet, Patchouli, Vetiver, Sandalwood and Amber. For some reason I find myself comparing other frangrances with this as if it were a benchmark to judge by. Get hold of the old bottle if you can because I think it has been reformulated and now is not as strong. E. is a more floral fragrance with rich aromatic notes, while Aramis 900 focuses on the rose note and all the nuances that come with it.This is Aromatics Elixir, slightly more low key and "behaved", but beautiful in its own right because of it. To date, there are only a few scents that will last on my skin for hours and hours, and some even into the late evening. The current formula lasts around 6 hours on my skin compared to the 4 hours of the vintage, although it could be explained by ageing of the basenotes in my vintage causing a loss of their potency. Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum, women's perfume or even, for you gentlemen, your favourite men's perfume, they are all waiting for you on our online perfumery. It left me wondering if I'd been sent the wrong fragrance by mistake, or if I'd picked up the wrong bottle.

The fashion and fragrance industries had appropriated elements of the counterculture by 1973 so the overlap is natural. If you’ve already done that, your item hasn’t arrived, or it’s not as described, you can report that to Etsy by opening a case. The rose predominates, but you immediately get the oakmoss (how Aramis gets away with an oakmoss note today is beyond me) and the bergamot and lemon bring a kind of fruitiness to the rose that makes the whole accord smell almost like it has apricot or jackfruit in it. just one with an adult mindset and someone who is secure, confident and who likes classic, refined style. It's on my rotation all year around because I enjoy wearing this one, and it will bring you compliments.

It's fairly linear as I don't detect any scent complexity to make it more interesting like, for example, Creed's Royal Mayfair, of which I am very much a fan. I don't get any real drop off in quality of ingredients or massive change in the quality of the drydown; any perceived differences maybe down more to the age of the older bottle against the freshness of the newer one. Of course, Aramis 900 is not a fragrance that I want to score with the female sex or shine with at a party. From Yves Saint Laurent, to Givenchy, Estée Lauder, Clinique and Clarins, the best of the beauty world is dedicated to you!So far, Fabergé Brut had been the closest to making it into my collection, but something in the heart note took too much getting used to. Aramis 900 trades the meadow-earthy chamomile of Aromatics Elixir, with the aldehydes mellowed, a brighter green-spicy coriander and the rose pushed more forward, reminding me a bit more of Jean Couturier Coriandre than AE in its top notes. Though it's a completely different scent it reminds me of Amouage Lyric Man with the Rose and the bitterness. When I was in high school, one of my teachers was part owner of the family owned florist in our small town. The salty effect is quite powerful and the rose isn't dominant as voted (at least for the first 5 minutes in).
